The target group for these machines are small workgroups in a business environment. Xerox calls it 'a robust printer'. The maximum monthly duty cycle is 60,000 pages, which is rather large for a printer costing approximately $750.00.
Printer.com calculated the cost of printing for the multifunction Xerox Phaser 6180 MFP: Price per page (B&W): 2.3 cents Price per page (color): 10.6 cents In the same price range, you can find less expensive printers when it comes to cost per page; we have seen printers that will cost only 7.6 cents per color page. One important note: if available in your market it's generally more cost efficient to use high yield cartridges. If you use the standard cartridges, you will pay roughly 25% - 35% more. And of course, the use of high yield cartridges will reduce environmental waste.
